Helen Marie Mock, 62 of Fayetteville, NC formerly of Hinton died Saturday December 17, 2005 at Womack Army Medical Center in Ft. Bragg, NC.
Born February 27, 1943 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Zina P. and Vergie Marie Ellison Mock.
She had many life fulfilling accomplishments. She was the first woman elected to the Summers County Commission, and was the former proprietor of Country Roads Store at Pence Springs, WV. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Her biggest accomplishment was as a mother.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Anderson.
She is survived by two sons, Greggory & wife Diane Burdette of Finksburg, MD and Scott Burdette of Cameron, NC.
Two grandchildren; Alex & Gina Burdette of Cameron, NC.
Three brothers, Robert & wife Helen Mock of Hilldale, Donald & wife Margie Mock of Hinton, and Billy Mock of Pueblo, CO.
Four sisters, Peggy Garrett of Hinton, Eleanor Snider & husband Russ of Glen Morgan, WV, Audrey Southerland & husband Jack of Roanoke, VA, and Jean Persinger of Bluewell, WV.
She will also be sadly missed by Robert White and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday December 22, 2005 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Benny Allen officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton. Friends may call from 6 until 8 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
