OBIT: Loren Eugene Icenogle - COLCHESTER - Loren E. Icenogle, 79, of Colchester, formerly of Rushville, died at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 1995, at Argyle Lake Nursing Center in Colchester. Born March 25, 1916, in Oakland Township, Schuyler County, to Lloyd and Florence Kalebaugh Icenogle, he married Dollie Gruber on Nov. 4, 1939, in Kahoka, Mo. She died Sept. 25, 1978. He married Iola Vollmer Phillips on July 21, 1979, in Hamilton. She died Feb. 9, 1994. He also was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Surviving are two sons, the Rev. Dr. Phillip of East Peoria and Donald of Colchester; one daughter, Joyce Icenogle of Oak Forest; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Leona Robeson of Rushville, Mrs. Charles (Mary Ann) Snow of Tiskilwa and Mrs. Verlin (Neva) Peacock of Rushville; and one brother, Eldon "Ike" of Scranton, Kan. A lifelong farmer, he retired in 1978. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville. The Rev. Dr. Phillip Icenogle will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight, and one hour before services, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Goodhope Cemetery northeast of Rushville. Memorials may be made to any charity.
