"Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal" Tupelo, Mississippi Sunday, April 30, 2000 MARIE CHRISTIAN Marie Robbins Christian, 90, died Friday, April 28, 2000, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born April 10, 1910, in Lee County to Albert M. Sims and Nona McGuire Sims. She was a longtime resident of the Auburn community and a longtime member of Auburn Baptist Church where she was involved in various church activities. She retired in sales from The Gizmo in Tupelo. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. Bobby Burt and the Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery. Survivors include her husband of 21 years, James V. "buster" Christian of Tupelo; one daughter, Priscilla Robbins Booth and her husband, Foster Booth, Jr., of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Robin Booth Clark and her husband, Craig, on New Port Richey, Fla., and Reed Booth of Nashville; one great-grandchild, Hailey Marie Clark; two stepchildren, James W. Christian and his wife, Sue, of Tupelo and Samuel P. Christian and his wife, Glenda, of Kodiak, Alaska; one sister, Mamie Marlin of Tupelo; one brother, William A. Sims of Los Angeles; seven step grandchildren, Pam Christian of Tupelo, Jan McCollum and her husband, Rick, of Amory, Sharon Miller and her husband, Paul, of Birmingham, Allison Mears and her husband, Tony of Saltillo, Leann Markus and her husband, Demus, of Kodiak, Alaska, Pierce Christian and his wife, Rochelle of Starkville and Heather Jones and her husband, Keef of Gainesville, Fla.; six stepgreat-grandchildren, Emily Miller, Olivia Miller, Hastins Miller, Christian McCollum, Abigail Mears and Hannah Christian. The deacons of Auburn Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Auburn Baptist Church, Auburn Road, Tupelo, Miss. 38804
