Barbara Julia Runions Morris, 86, of Pearisburg, Va., departed this life Wednesday morning, September 8, 2010, at the home of her daughter and caregiver in Lexington, Va. Born on June 6, 1924, in Pearisburg, she was a daughter of the late Jessie Andrew and Mary Davis Runions and stepdaughter of the late Bessie Runions. She was retired from the Celanese Plant at Narrows and attended The Church of God of Prophecy in Pearisburg. She leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Louann Morris ,of Pearisburg; her daughters and sons-inlaw, Norma and Lee White, of Blountville, Tenn., and Gaynell and Darrell Ratcliffe, of Lexington, Va.; her sister, Ruth Viars, of Elkton, Md.; her eight grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; and her one great-great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be conducted 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Bill Brown and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Angels Rest Memory Gardens at Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, September 10, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
