Mary was born Bronson Twp, Huron Co., OH. She married Frank Melville Lutts (1861-1925) on 13 Oct 1881 in Huron Co., OH. Her parents were Charles William Soule, III (1829-1913) and Eliza Ann Prouty (1830-1916)

Mrs. Mary Lutts of 76 S. Linwood, Passes Away

Mrs. Mary Eliza Lutts passed away at 8:30 am today at her home, 76 S. Linwood Ave. She was born south of Norwalk on Oct. 5, 1863, the daughter of Charles W. and Eliza Ann Prouty Soule. Two brothers Charles R. and Arthur and one sister Abby Shumacher preceded her in death. One brother Wallace Soule survives her. He lives in Akron, Oh.

She was married to Frank M. Lutts, a well known Huron Co, farmer on Oct. 13, 1881.Seven children were born of this union as follows: Bertha D. Dolbee of Christy Ave., Conrad W. of Honolulu, T.H., Nellie Kellogg (deceased), Howard A. of Lorain, Idel Heston and Grace M. Francisco of Norwalk, and Elizabeth A. King of Bay Village, Oh. 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive Mrs. Lutts.

During their early married life, Mr. and Mrs. Lutts lived on the Lutts homestead a mile and a half south of Norwalk. They both took a deep interest in community life. Mrs. Lutts was one of the founders and first president of the Willowdale Farm Women's Club. She was a charter member of the organization.

In 1921 Mr. and Mrs. Lutts bought the home at 76 S. Linwood where Mr. Lutts died on Nov. 29, 1925. Mrs. Lutts was a devoted member of the Universalist Church and was actively engaged in the work of the Women's Society until her failing health prevented it. She leaves a devoted family and a wide circle of friends to perpetuate her memory.

Funeral services will be held from the Orebaugh Funeral Chapel at 2:30 Tues. The Rev. Stanley Stall will officiate. Burial will be at Woodlawn.
