Mrs. Christy W. Ahrens
Mrs. Elva May Ahrens, 50, wife of Christy W. Ahrens of 766 Colbert Ave., died at noon Monday in her home. A daughter of the late Albert C. and Mary Long Bender, she was born May 21, 1899, in Clarion County. She married Christy W. Ahrens on December 3, 1920, in Oil City. She has resided here since. Mrs. Ahrens was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Robert L. of Oil City and Pvt. Donald P. of the U.S. Army; two grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Leo Bender of Knox, and Mrs. Arthur Muldoon, Mrs. Clement Hale and Zale Bender of Oil City.
The body was taken to the Crawford funeral home.
