DRUMMOND, Peter W. - Taps were sounded last Friday morning for another veteran of the Civil War when Peter W. Drummond, aged 72, died at his home near Rogers after a protracted illness. Funeral services were held at the First M.E. church Saturday afternoon at one o'clock and were conducted by Rev. E.M. Dugger, the pastor. The G.A.R., of which the deceased comrade had always been one of the most active members, had charge of the services at the grave, led by Rev. J.F. Ross.
