An Illness Takes Plummer M. Lund--
Osborne County people, and especially those living in the Covert neighborhood, were shocked and grieved to learn of the death of Plummer M. Lund, a former well known and respected citizen, which occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs Esther McGuire, in Limon (Lemon) Cove, CA, on Nov 3.

Mr Lund had been in failing health with heart trouble the past two years but it was not known that the end was so near, and his family and friends were unprepared for his sudden death.

Mrs Lund died in 1902 and her husband never remarried. He reared his children who were then from three to twelve years of age, with all the love and care a father could give. The family came to Osborne many years ago.

He moved to western Kansas in 1917 and in 1920 he moved to California where he continued to reside until his death. He was a lifelong member of the Baptist church and was likewise Sunday School superintendent and teacher for many years.

The living childrn are George F. Lund, Exeter, CA; A. P. Lund, Taft, CA; P. M. Lund, Woodlake, CA; and Mrs Esther McGuire, Limon Cove, CA. There are also 13 grandchildren and one great grandson.
