Margaret Coleman, 82, passed away Friday, August 27 at Riverside Nursing and Rehab in Centralia, WA, after a long illness.
Margaret was born October 13, 1927 to Marion Lee and Nora (Adams) Rose in Uniontown, AR. She was the second youngest of a family of seven children. Her early years were spent in Arkansas until her family moved to the Yakima valley in 1948. They lived in Naches and later Sunnyside working the orchards and hop yards of the area.
Her sister, Alta Smith introduced her to Ira Coleman of Glenoma, WA. They were married September 16, 1949 and moved to the Coleman family homestead in Glenoma. She resided there until 1990, moving to Chehalis after the passing of her husband Ira.
Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother and will always be remembered for her baking, especially her cream pies. She was always ready to prepare a meal for family or friends and relished the chance to showcase her cooking and baking.
She is survived by her son, Harold (Regina) Coleman of Pe Ell, grandchildren; Carie, Angie, and Matthew and one great-grandchild, Ginny Coleman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews especially Dave (Shelley) Smith who was like a son to her, as well as long-term caregiver Krisanne Mcglaughlin.
