DEATH NOTICE:
KINDRED, Beulah Faye, 93, of Leon Iowa, died March 17, 2006 at the Westview Acres Care Center in Leon. Funeral services were held March 20 at Slade-O Donnell Funeral Home in Leon with Pastor Jud Stover officiating. Burial was in the Leon Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established by the family.

FAYE KINDRED ... Beulah Faye Kindred, daughter of James Stuart and Bessie [Mark] Hagan, was born on January 29, 1913 in Mercer County, MO. She passed away on March 17, 2006 at the Westview Acres Care Center in Leon, Iowa at the age of 93 years.
She was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church and received her education at the Center School near Saline, MO.
On March 5, 1934, she was married to Clarence Oliver Kindred in Princeton, MO. They lived in Decatur County, IA and were parents of 4 children: Ronald Gene, Reva Faye, NevaLee, and Gale Dean. They moved from their farm near Van Wert to Osceola in the fall of 1973. Faye lived there until she moved to the Westview Acres Care Center in Leon in December of 2003.
Faye was known as a loving wife, mother, and friend. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and canning. She loved decorating birthday cakes for her grandchildren. She also made quilts for each of them.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Clarence in 1990; son Ronald in 1956; son Gale in 2002; 4 brothers: Cecil, Mervil, Lloyd, and Carl Hagan; 2 sisters, Irma Dunn and Lois Dunn; 7 sisters-in-law; and 5 brothers-in-law.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Reva Beers and Ed of Leon and NevaLee McDowell and Orval of Osceola; daughter-in-law Donna Kindred of Osceola; 9 grandchildren: Sheila (Kim) Overton, Teri (Joe) Johnston, Bill Beers, Rich McDowell, Ronda (Dan) Harrison, Ron McDowell, Greg (Tina) Kindred, Lori (Don) White, and Jennifer (Brent) Parrott; 21 great grandchildren: Jason and Megan Overton, Gage and Trey Beers, Nick Johnston, Jennifer Broich, Kyle and Kasey McDowell, Tonille and Rachelle Carlon, Taylor, Kaylee, and Alexis White, Madison and Alex Kim, Anna and Madison Parrott, and Carle, Amanda, Audrey, and Casey Kindred; 3 great-great grandchildren: Ian an Briley Overton and Elaven Carlon; one sister, Avis Larason of Princeton, MO; brother Hubert (Elaine) Hagan of Princeton; brother Ferrill (Annabel) Hagan of Oxnard, CA; brother-in-law Lloyd Parson of Sealy TX; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
