This was my maternal Great Grandfather. Born Guiseppe Cervo in Italy, his name was "Americanized" when he came through Ellis Island in 1910. Before moving to the U.S., he farmed land in Italy. When he moved to the U.S. he worked hard in factories.

Because he was born in Italy, his first name was perhaps originally spelled Giuseppe, rather than Guiseppe.
