Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Sherman and Minnie Aiken Parsons. She formerly worked for Singer Corporation and was a member of Mile Creek Baptist Church and the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class, which will serve as Honorary Escorts.
Surviving are her husband, Harold George Caddell of the home; a daughter, Kathy Rice and husband, Dave, of Liberty; a sister, Lucille Simmons of Pickens; and two grandsons, Nathan Rice and Matthew Rice. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Garland Parsons.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mile Creek Baptist Church, with Reverends Lester Collins, Jimmy Parsons, and David Howe officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, where the family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 8 p.m. and will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class of Mile Creek Baptist Church, c/o Mrs. Agnes Duncan, Treasurer, 335 Brandy Lane, Pickens, SC 29671. The family is at the home.
