WILLIAM WEBER
PALMER --- William M. Weber , 99, one of Palmer's older residents, died Monday at a Palmer rest home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Church of Christ in Palmer with the Rev. James Gilmore, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill cemetery in Palmer. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Greenway Funeral Home in Palmer.
Mr. Weber was born Feb. 20, 1874, in Cumberland County near Harrisburg, Penn., the son of Samuel and Rebecca Bigler Weber. He came to Nebraska in 1896. He spent most of his life farming in the Palmer area. He was united in marriage to the former Mary Geherty on Oct. 2, 1902. She died in 1939. He later married Helen Adamson on Aug. 8, 1944. She died in 1963. He retired from farming in 1945. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Palmer.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Elma Campbell and Mrs. Grace Glynn, both of Palmer, and Mrs. Dorothy Hockman of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one son, Gerald of Dickinson, N. D. ; 23 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, and two sons.

RITES HELD FOR WM. WEBER, 99
Funeral services for William M. Weber were held Friday, May 25 at 2 p.m. at the First Church of Christ in Palmer. James Gilmore officiated. Miss Vivian Newlon, organist played "Under His Wings" and "No Night There." Pallbearers were Orville Nicholas, Harry Prochaska, Harold Joseph, Elmer Maddox, Lloyd Joseph, and Richard Woods. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery under the auspices of Greenway Funeral Home of Palmer.
William M. Weber, son of Samuel & Rebecca Bigler Weber was born on February 20, 1874 in Cumberland County, near Harrisburg, Pa. He left this life on May 22, 1973 at Palmer, Nebraska after reaching the age of 99 years, 3 months and 1 day.
In 1896 he came to the Palmer community where he farmed and where he spent most of his life. He retired in 1945 and moved into Palmer. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Palmer. On October 2, 1902 he was married to Mary A. Geherty. She died in December of 1939. He was married to Helen Adamson on August 8, 1944. She preceded him in death on January 28, 1963.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Elma Campbell and Mrs. Grace Glynn of Palmer and Mrs. Dorothy Hockman of Oklahoma City, Okla; one son, Gerald Weber of Dickinson, North Dakota; 23 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
