Mrs. Annie Bruce Davis, age 95, of Dahlonega, Ga. died Friday, July 15, 2005, at her residence following an extended illness.
A native and lifetime resident of Lumpkin County, she was the daughter of the late Albert M. and Nannie Laura Duff Bruce. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George R. Davis.
Mrs. Davis was a graduate of North Georgia College and taught school for 42 years. She was very fond of all her many school students. She loved her family dearly and contributed much to their welfare and happiness. Mrs. Davis was a longtime member of the Dahlonega Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sister, Pearl J. Bruce, Dahlonega, Ga., and a great-niece, Sherri Davis, Dahlonega, Ga.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2005, in the chapel of McKinney Funeral Home, where the Rev. Robert D. Green will officiate with interment to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
