MRS. CROWNOVER SERVICES FRIDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Neth K. Crownover will be Friday at 2 p.m. in tho Methodist church with Rev. C. R. Fitz conducting the servicos. Interment will be made in the Mount Hope cemetery. Mrs. Crownover died Monday morning at the Sargent Community Hospital following a lingering illness of several months duration.

Services Held Friday For Mrs. Crownover

Funeral services for Mrs. Kenneth K. Crownover, 57, were held Friday afternoon in the Methodist church. The Rev. C. R. Fitz was the officiating clergyman. Mrs. Crownover died Monday morning, Jan. 23, at the Sargent Community Hospital following a lingering illness o f several months duration. Mrs. Wm. McNiel sang a solo "I've Done My Work," and she and Mrs. Norman Grint sang "Abide With Me. " Mrs. Harold Pointer played the accompaniment and the organ prelude and recessional. Pallbearers were Bert Amos, Carl Reier, George Steinhoff, Garrett Lysinger, Fred Rush and John Green. Interment was made in the Mt. Hope cemetery. The Spooner Funeral Home directed the arrangements. (obituary) Ruth Arminta Crownover was born at Bellwood, Nebr., on July 19, 1898. She was a daughter of Russell D. and Arminta Adams who were parents of a family of ten children. Her family moved to a farm home west of Loup City while she was still a small child and this remained her home until the time of her marriage. After receiving grade school education in the rural district near her home she attended high school at Loup City and Broken Bow and was a member of the Graduating class of 1917 at Broken Bow high school. She taught one year in a rural school and then came to Sargent where she taught the seventh and eighth graders in the city school during the next five consecutive terms. On June 20, 1923. she was united in marriage to Kenneth K. Crownover of Sargent. To this union two children were born: Patricia Ann, who preceded her mother in death on Nov. 1 1949, and Dr. Robert James, presently in the Naval Service at San Francisco, Calif. In recent years Mrs. Crownover re-entered the teaching profession and had served more than seven years in the grade school at Taylor when failing health compelled her to resign last fall. She had been affiliated with the Methodist Church and its companion groups during most of her lifetime in Sargent. During a busy lifetime she had been honored by being selected to serve at president of Chapter CW P.E.O.; Worthy Matron of Sargent Chapter No. 315 of O.E.S.; and president of the Sargent chapter of the American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Crownover departed this life on Jan. 23,1956 while a patient at the Sargent Community Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth K. Crownovcr; and son, Robert J. Crownovcr of Sargent; two sisters, Mrs. James McMeekin of Shelby, Nebr., and Mrs. August Thelen of Omaha, Nebr.; five brothers, Russell D. Adams of Broken Bow, Chester Adams of Loup Citv, Lewis Adams of Loup City. William Adams of Arcadia and Verhon Adams of Loup City. To this list of close relatives saddened bv her death must be added a host of friends and neighbors of whom she was extremely proud.
