Railroad Worker Expires in Yard

Reporting at 2.30 o'clock this morning for his service as a flagman on the Middle division of the Pennsylvania railroad, Frank O. Irvin, aged 58, of 1436 Fifth avenue,
Juniata, was taken ill suffering a heart attack. Death ensued at 4:00 o'clock.
Mr. Irvin was given first aid by members of his crew and a physicianwas summoned, death coming,however, before the trainman could be removed to the hospital.
Frank Oscar Irvin was born on
May 16, 1882, at Shirleysburg, a son of Nelson, deceased, and Mrs. Fannie (Bard) Irvin. He was employed
for more than twenty-nine years by the Pennsylvania railroad.
Surviving are his aged mother at Atkinsons Mills, his wife, who was Miss Elsie Gill of Atkinsons Mills,
and two sons, William and Dale Irvin,both of Juniata, eight grandchildren and seven brothers, as follows:
William of Atkinsons Mills,Joseph of Newton Hamilton, Charles, Bruce and Jess Irvin, all of Altoona,
Ira Irvin of Pittsburgh and Roy Irvinof Tyrone.
He was a member of the Wesley
Memorial Methodist church, of the
B. of R. T. lodge,number 408, and the
P. R. R. relief. Friends will be received
at the home at any time
