Henry O. "Bud" Harness was baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Friday, September 10, 2010.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Eureka Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Schrader Funeral Home, 108 N. Central Ave., Eureka, Mo., and will then go to Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eureka for 11 a.m. mass. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Schrader Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was beloved husband of Diane Harness (nee Loew), of Eureka, for 43 years. Dear father of Kim Harness and Lisa (Tony) Mueller, both of St. Louis, Mo.; brother of Catherine (Bill) Whipkey, of Friendswood, Texas, Kenneth (Hazel) Harness, of Circleville, Ohio, Elmer (Beverly) Harness, of Robinson, Robert (Linda) Harness, of Seabrook, Texas, Delores (Ron) Mason, of West Salem, Linda (Norman) Ochs, of Olney, and the late Bernice, Raleigh Jr., and Harold Harness; son of the late Raleigh and Iva Harness.

Bud was a graduate of East Richland High School, Class of 1963, and Eastern Illinois University, Class of 1967, and worked for AT&T for nearly 40 years and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, stationed in Vietnam, being honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. Bud was an avid cyclist and model-railroad enthusiast.
