S.C. Brantingham
S.C. Brantingham, 83, retired farmer who had resided in Alliance 82 years died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday at the the home on West Vine Street after an illness of 10 days.
Born in Honey Grove, Iowa, he was the last of his family. We was a member of the Wilbur Friends Church at Damascus. He retired 10 years ago.
Surviving him ar four sons, Frank W. of Alliance, Marton P. of west Mansfield and John R. and Adna W. of Long Beach, Cal.; six daughters, Miss Belle Brantingham of the home, Mrs. Mary Steele, Mrs. Elsie Vaughn, Mrs. Rose Winn and Mrs. Alma Hallman of Alliance and Mrs. Florence Roane of Beechwood, and 22 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Furneral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs frank Will on the West Vine Extension in charge of Rev. Chster Stanley, pastor of the first Friends Church. Friends may call Friday afternoon and evening at the Winn home. Interment will be made in Marlboro.
