Private Lewis Clark was the fourth born child of six known children and the second son of three born to Charles Washington Kincheloe and Elizabeth Duncan

He married Private Margaret Ruth Bowmer on 13 April 1852 in Williamson County, Texas. Together they had eleven known children.

He served as a Private in the Civil War, Confederate States Army in the 27th Brigade.

He was by trade a Farmer in Texas.
