Mr. Ferrell, a Mecklenburg Furniture Co. retiree, was a Mecklenburg County native.
Survivors are his wife, Ruth; sons, Evans Ferrell of Indian Trail, Robert Ferrell; daughter, Mrs. Audrey Spencer of Huntersville; sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Frame of McConnells, S.C., Mrs. Zelma Westbrook, Mrs. Wilma Parnell; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
