Alonza Grant Clouser, of near Mannsville, born December 30, 1862, at New Bloomfield, died December 21, at the State Hospital, Harrisburg. He was a son of William Clouser and wife. He was married to Miss Flora Ellen Clouser, who died fourteen years ago. Surviving him are the following children: Sadie, of Harrisburg; Bessie, Mrs. Abram Krietzer, Dalmatia; Elmer, Mechanicsburg; Crist, Newport; William, Burnham; Albert, near Erly; Flora, Mrs. Earl Miller, Harrisburg; Tessie, Mrs. Frank Forsythe, of Mechanicsburg; Lee, New Bloomfield; Pearl, Mrs. George Updegrove, Mechanicsburg; Mary, Mrs. Arthur Allen, Mannsville, and Theodore, Harrisburg; a daughter died in infancy and a son Vernon died eight years ago; also surviving are forty-two grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 23, at 2 p. m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Newport, and interment was in the Newport cemetery. He was aged 78 years, 11 months and 21 days.
