Julia is my second g-grandmother. She was the daughter of Edward Stephens and Julia E. Perkins.
She married Benjamin Vanburn Hokit on November 10, 1863 (probably in Lamar County, TX)

Together Julia and Benjamin had 11 children as follows:
Mary Lela Hokit
William S. Hokit
Martha Jane Hokit (my g-grandmother)
Josie Green Hokit
Lucy Ellen Hokit
Elizabeth Ann Hokit
Benjamin Lewis Hokit
Cora Letitia Hokit
George Franklin Hokit
Maggie Bulah Hokit
John Gordon Hokit

I've been told that she is buried next to her son-in-law, Lemuel Kennedy (husband of Lucy Hokit Kennedy), in Howe Cemetery. She supposedly does not have a tombstone, but only a rock as a marker.
