Died.


J. M. Hoag, the brother of M. J. Hoag, the nursery man, died at the home of the latter in this city, this morning, at 8:10 o'clock, from heart disease.


Mr. Hoag was born in Clinton county, New York, in 1822, and in 1838 settled in Michigan. He came to Minnesota in 1956, and settled in Fillmore county, leaving soon after for Dakota.


He has been a frequent visitor in this city since that time, always making his home with his brother while here. He leaves three sons, one of whom is in Chicago and the other two are in Virginia.


The funeral services will be held at the house tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock, Rev. G.P. Avery officiating, and the remains will be taken to Sumner, Fillmore county, for interment.
