Age 86, of Bethel Park, died on October 27, 2004. Beloved husband of Helen; loving father of Elizabeth Mutschler and C. John Amend, Jr.; dear brother of the late Ralph Amend; stepbrother of the late Howard Degelman; grandfather of six; great-grandfather of seven. Carl was a lifetime permanent contributing member of the Syria Temple Shrine of Pittsburgh, Lodge #759, Past commander of the Shrine Legion of Honor, active in Military organizations in the Shrine and a member of the 4 Points Social Club. Visitation will be FRIDAY from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, where Funeral Service will be held SATURDAY at 12 noon. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA. 16505.
