Millie Bailey
Britt - Funeral services for Mrs. Millie Bailey, 87, of Britt, who died Thursday (March 19, 1981) at a Britt nursing home, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Britt.
The Rev. J. Larry Vallery will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Britt. Visitation will be at Carter-Ewing Funeral Home in Britt after 2 p.m. today. Carter-Ewing Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bailey was a long-time Britt area schoolteacher. She and her husband also operated a grocery store here for many years. She was a life member of the Hancock County Historical Society, the Britt Women's Club and the United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clement (Marilou) Heverly, Arnold, Md.; a brother, Milo Clark, of Britt, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
