Caroline Sanford (Fanton) Reid was the daughter of Thomas Burr and Charlotte (Sanford) Fanton. She was the 2nd wife of Rev. Dr. John Morrison Reid. They were married Redding, Connecticut May 3, 1845. Rev. Reid was a minister in the New York Conference and New York East Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died May 16, 1896.
