GALESBURG - Alfred Irl Goudy, 88, of Galesburg, formerly of Brimfield, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Marigold Health Care Center.
Born Aug. 31, 1916, in Peoria to Clifford and Viola Goudy, he married Maxine L. McCartney on June 20, 1946, in Peoria. She died July 2, 2000.
He also was preceded in death by one daughter.
Surviving are one son, Larry of Galesburg; and three granddaughters.
He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater.
He retired from Rowe Manufacturing in 1981.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Patterson Funeral Home in Elmwood, where visitation will be one hour before. The Rev. Sharon Treptow will officiate. Burial will be in Brimfield Cemetery.
