OBITUARY
The sudden death of Jesse GRIMES, Canadian druggist, Saturday morning, August 6, at his home, was a shock to his family and the entire community. Although in poor health, his death was not expected.
He was born in Bland, Bell County January 14, 1883. Mr. GRIMES was a past president of the Canadian Rotary Club, had served as a steward of the Methodist church and as a director of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. He was president of the Hemphill County school board at the time of his death .
Mr. GRIMES came to Canadian 16 years ago. His immediate surviving relatives are his widow and three step-children. Mrs. GRIMES is a daughter of Mrs. G. W. ARRINGTON of Canadian and a sister of Mrs. A. R. HOGHLAND of this county.
