Jean Lowell Rafuse, 67, Middlewood, died Thursday in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born at Vogler's Cove, she was a daughter of the late Farish and Ada (Conrad) Conrad.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Middlewood and Turquoise Rebekah Lodge, No. 132, Petite Riviere.

She is survived by her husband, A. Mitchell; a son, Luke, Danesville; two brothers, James, Boston; Leeman, Vogler's Cove; four sisters, Una Smith, Port Medway; Iona Levy, Mersey Point; Ivy, Kentville; Ethel, Quebec; a grandson; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Pearl, Alice, and Marjorie; a brother, Hector.

The body is in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, where a Turquoise Rebekah Lodge service will be 7 p.m., Saturday. Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Sunday, in Calvary Lutheran Church, Rev. Timothy Hoyer and Rev. Alison Leitzel officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Calvary Lutheran Church.
