Louisa Jane Daugherty Clark was born October 22, 1901 at Somerford, Nebraska, the daughter of Hugh Dan and Catherine Wadsworth Daugherty. She received her education at the Antelope School and continued to help her parents on the farm. On May 12, 1921 she was married to Allen C Clark of Sargent. To this union six children were born; Amy, twins Dale and Gale, Edna, Allen, and Darrel.
Allen and Louisa made their home in Round Valley until 1951, when they moved to the Weissert Community. After the Death of Allen in 1957 she stayed on the farm. In 1963 she moved into Sargent and resided there until ill health forced her to live in the Sargent Nursing Center in 1983.
She is survived by one daughter, Edna Campbell of San Clemente, California; three sons, Dale and wife Irene; Allen and wife Margie of Sargent; and Darrel of Loup City; daughter-in-law, Georgia Kuklish of Sargent, 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Amy; one son, Gale; a son-in-law, John Campbell; three brothers and six sisters. Louisa was the last survivor of her family.
