Services for Parlaman A. Berkley, 69, of 922 Franklin St., who died Monday night in the Liberty Nursing Home, Allentown, where he had been five months, will be arranged by the Shalkop Funeral Home, Birdsboro.

A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Berkley, he had been employed by the Reading Co. before retiring in 1970.

For the last three years, he had been a foster parent at Pennhurst State School & Hospital, Spring City.

He is survived by his widow, Bessie (Bortz) Berkley; a daughter, Betty Jane, at home; a son, Blaine M., Reading, and two grandchildren.

Two sisters, Alice, widow of Lewis Dengler, Birdsboro, and Mrs. Frace Felix, Reading.
