Sgt. John F. Burner III, 32, of Baltimore, Md., died Sept. 16, in Iskandariya, Iraq, in a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 63rd Signal Battalion (Expeditionary), 35th Signal Brigade, Fort Gordon, Ga. He is survived by his beloved wife Verena and two daughters, Celina age 10 and Caitlyn age 6; his loving parents, John and Sandra of Catonsville Md.; his two brothers , Adam and Carl Burner, Carl is currently deployed to Iraq and is a Sergeant with the U.S. Army reserve. John also leaves behind three Grand-Parents, Margaret Burner of Roanoke Va., Gladys Smoot of Spring Texas and Melvin Baumer of Catonsville Md. He is also survived by his Great Grandmother Martha DelaPena of Texas.
