William Travis Allison, 89, of Siloam Springs, died December 5 in Woodland Manor nursing home at Siloam Springs. Born June 3, 1889, at Thorney, he was the son of Sherman and Martha Templeton Allison and a member of the Church of Christ. He was owner of the general store, was the postmaster at Thorney and later farmed near Siloam Springs.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Ball and Mrs. Tropha Williams of Siloam Springs, and Mrs. Fern Scranton of Elkins; three brothers, Virgil Allison of Muskogee, Okla., Lester Allison of Fayetteville, and Ernest Allison of Charlotte, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Mary Thomas of Wagoner, Okla.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 7, in the chapel of Pyeattes Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with Charles Cash officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery near Elkins.
