She was born Sept. 25, 1926, in Rush County, the daughter of Elmer and Goldie (Barber) Emsweller. She formerly resided in Anderson and moved to Middletown 36 years ago.
Mary was a graduate of New Salem High School.
She was a homemaker, and member of the New Salem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Donald A. Beyler of Middletown; son, Duane Edward Beyler (Kay) of Sharpsville; daughter, Anita Marie Targgart (Alan) of Kendallville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Harvey Emsweller, Raymond Emsweller, Norma Miller, Lloyd Emsweller and Quentin Emsweller.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 S. Fifth St., Middletown, officiated by the Rev. Marty Ballard. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
