Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Minser of Fort Wayne; daughters Jean (Nicholas) Brown of Indianapolis, IN and Beth (Steve) Barreto of Fort Wayne; sons Jim (Mary) Minser and Terry (Sabrina) Minser both of Fort Wayne; sister Alice (Dave) Dickmeyer of Fort Wayne; brother Jack (Shirley) Minser of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Minser; brother Dan Minser and sister Ruth Minser.
Service is 2pm Tuesday at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior. Visitation is Monday 4:30 to 7:30pm at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.
The family asks in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
