Section 20,. Block 380, Lot 1, Grave 3. Son of Samuel Boykin and Narcissa Cooper. First married to Arabella Harris Alexander/Boykin on 4/13/1858 in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama. His second wife of Martha "Mattie" Dickerson/Dickinson. They were married on 5/4/1881, two years after the death of Arabella. He had children with both wives. Four babies of Thomas & Mattie are buried here and a son and daughter from his first marriage, Thomas and Kathryn Boykin. He was aged 65 years.

The funeral of Rev. Thomas C. Boykin, who was found dead in bed Wednesday morning, occurred yesterday afternoon. The funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock at the residence of Mr. Boykin's son, B. M. (Basil Manly) Boykin, 101 Capitol Avenue.
The services were short and simple, no funeral sermon peing preached at the request of the deceased. The Baptist funeral service was read. A number of the friends of the minister attended the funeral. The body was interred in Oakland Cemetery.
