Died --- Ben Beckmann, at the home of his mother one mile east and one mile north of Angelus, on November 6, 1918, at the age of 21 years, 7 months and 16 days.
Benjamin John Beckmann was born March 21, 1897, at Angelus, Kansas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Beckmann.
He was sick but a few days and his untimely death was a great shock to the community. He fell a victim of the influenza and was getting along nicely when he suffered a relapse.
Ben leaves to mourn his loss a loving mother, six sisters and five brothers and a host of friends. His father preceded him in death.
The remains were laid to rest in the Angelus cemetery, Wednesday afternoon.
NOTE: research shows that Ben was a twin to William H.
