Final passage in Phebe Smoot Dies at 84 Mrs. Phebe Campbell Smoot 84, Provo, died this morning it a Provo rest home of natura causes. She was born Nov. 9, 1881, in Fillmore, a daughter of Orson Grant and Ann Dewsnup Campbell. She married A. Owen Smoot MI, on Aog. 17, 1904, Mrs. Smoot in the Salt Lake LDS Temple He died in 1937. She received her early educa tton in the Fillnwe schools and came to Provo to attend th Brigham Young Academy, Fol lowing her graduation she taught school in Provo. She was active in the LIX Church, serving as presiden of the Relief Society and wan literary leader in- the Relief Society and was active in the Young Women's MIA. Mrs .Smoot was active in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Surviving are three daugh ters, Mrs. W. G. (Anna) Taylor Mrs. J. H. (Pern) Taylor am Mrs. R. L. (Vera) Madsen, al of Provo; eight grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be hel< Monday at 2 p.m. in Our Chape of Memories Mortuary, Provo with Bishop Alton F. Grone man of the Provo Sixth Wan officiating. Friends may cal at the mortuary Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to services. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery
