Alva Austin Sites, 87, of Petersburg, W.Va., died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg.
Mr. Sites was born Sept. 26, 1919, in Pansy, W.Va., and was the son of the late Austin L. and Blanche Sites.
His wife, Helen Mouse Sites, preceded him in death Sept. 12, 2001.
He was a farmer most of his life and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church.
The Revs. Gary Phillips and Richard Longbon will conduct the funeral 11:00 a.m. today at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, W.Va. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Petersburg.
Friends were received Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Performing Arts Center/Moomau Library, 18 Mt. View St., Petersburg, WV 26847 or to a charity of choice.
