Rites Monday for Mrs. Hartung

Funeral services were held Monday from the Briggs Funeral Home for Mrs. Mabel Hartung, 75 of Petoskey who died yesterday at Little Traverse Hospital. Rev. Charles Carpenter officiated and interment was in Eli Maple Hill cemetery.
The former Mabel Arman was born in Saginaw county and was married at Petoskey to David Hartung in 1903. The couple resided in the Lark's Lake area for many years, and the year following his death in 1941, she moved to Petoskey. She was a member of the United Missionary Church.
Survivors include seven sons, Harold of Battle Creek, Ora, Dell T. and Armon of Albion, Henry of Saginaw, Phillip of Midland and Robert of Alanson; seven daughters, Mrs. Fred (Thelma) Zuehlke and Mrs. Robert (Nellie) Rutz of Albion, Mrs. George (Verna) Feaster of Midland, Mrs. Joseph (Leola) Miller of Merrill, Mrs. Joe (Henrietta) Humphries of Marshall, Mrs. Donald (Phyllis) Wright of Jackson and Mrs. Richard (Donella) Hudson of Cheboygan; 33 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; two brothers, Morris and Ray Arman, both of Harbor Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Johnson of Flint and Mrs. Theodore Bonter of Midland.
