Rodney G. Murschel, born Sept. 17, 1938 in Webster, SD, son of Rudolph Murschel & Gladys Hoberg, went to be with his Savior on Sept. 10, 2010.
A graduate of U.P.S. Tacoma, WA, He served in the Army National Guard and volunteered on many local development councils. A member of the community since 1977, Rodney always had visions of growth and progress for Winlock. His compassionate heart and quick wit will be missed by all who knew him. He was a wonderful and loving husband and an amazing father who adored his grandchildren. His greatest joy was always time spent with family.
Rodney is preceded in death by wife Eileen Murschel.
Survived by wife Paula Murschel, mother Gladys Hoberg, sisters LaVon Estes & Marlys Treffry, children Jewel Thompson, Lance Murschel, Brenda Martin, Natalie Hodnot & step-daughter Dara Kramer. Grandchildren Sean & Tyler Murschel, Joshua & Lynnsey Thompson, Laura, Sami & Ben Martin, Kenzie & Logan Hodnot, great-grandchildren Caleb, Mason and Miles Thompson and Chloe & Ayden Murschel.
Dad always said, "The two most important things in life are God and Family." He had both. We loved him very much and he will be greatly missed.
