Ellis John Hall, 84, of 1101 Van Voorhis Road, died Monday morning, May 16, 1977, at West Virginia University Hospital.
He was born Jan. 7, 1893 at Jeanette, Pa. , the son of the late Robert Lee and Elizabeth Beavers Hall.
He was a retired glass worker, having worked for the Quality Glass Co. of Van Voorhis for 30 years, and he was custodian of the Drummond Chapel United Methodist Church for 10 years. He was a veteran of World War I, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 548 of Morgantown. He also was a member of the Morgantown Musician's Union, and the Odd Fellows Lodge of Morgantown for 40 years, and the Local Union 48 of the American Flint Glass Workers of America.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Perkins Hall: three sons, Frank Hall of Orlando, Fla., Ellis J Hall Jr of Washington, and George E Hall of Morgantown; two daughters Mrs. Charles P. (Juanita) Wolfe of Moundsville, and Mrs. Ralph G. (Glenna) Jackson of Morgantown; one brother Russell Hall of Pennsylvania; two sisters Mrs. Hazel Riley and Mrs. Eva Plumbo, both of Cleveland; 13 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was also a member of the Green Mountain Boys who recorded on the RCA Label.
