Kathryn Collins, 77, Kansas City, MO, passed away Sunday, December 29, 1996, at Trinity Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 1997, at Sheil Colonial Chapel; burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Collins was born January 14, 1919, in Tulsa, OK. She was the owner of the Burns Transfer Company.
She was preceeded in death by: her husbands, James T. Collins in 1993, and Raymond Ziesman in 1985; her father Stephen Boles Simmons 1953; her mother, Mollie Catherine Neighbors in 1974 (later married to Norman Burns), two daughters, Edna Earline and Dorothy Leora Bowers; and one son, Joseph Stephen. Survivors include two sons, James Paul (Izola) Collins, St. Charles, MO, and John Edward (Lila) Collins, Kansas City, MO; three daughters, Helen LaVerne (Fred) Fry, Independence, MO, Lois Sandra (Sandy) Walker (Terrence Greenwood), Venice, FL, Linda Kathryn Dimon (Freddie Thompkins) Raytown, MO; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
