Mrs. Mary Bennett Bradley, who died on Thursday at her home, No. 615 East Genesee street, was one of the oldest residents of Onondaga county. She was born near Balston Spa June 14th, 1802, and had lived in this county almost seventy years. She was the only surviving niece and nearest surviving relative of the famous diplomat and poet, Joel Barlow. Mrs. Bradley’s maiden name was Mary Bennett. She was twice married, her first husband being Russell Bennett. Her second husband was Myrick Bradley. One son and two daughters, E. A. Bennett and Mrs. William C. Anderson of this city and Mrs. Charlotte M. Barrett of Cazenovia, all children of her first husband, survive her. Mrs. Bradley was a charter member of the Fourth Presbyterian church. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the house.
