ED DEMONGEOT

L.E. (Ed) DeMongeot, 68, New Haven, died at 7 a.m. yesterday in his home following a heart attack. A native of Antwerp, O., Mr. DeMongeot lived in New Haven since moving there from Huntington 21 years ago. He had been station agent at the Wabash Railroad depot in New Haven for 21 years. He had been a railroad employee for the last 50 years, and 48 of those years he worked for the Wabash Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Telegraphers. Surviving are the wife, Lulu; two daughters, Mrs. William Barter, New Haven and Mrs. John Bauer, Huntington; two sisters, Mrs. Clare Troop, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Lou Quigley, Sebastapol, Calif.; a half-brother, Matt Burger, Ossian, and four grandchildren. The body was taken to the E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, New Haven.
