THOUSAND OAKS, CA — Helen Marie (McManus) Duty, age 73, of Thousand Oaks, CA, formerly of Lynn, MA, died on Friday, September 3, 2010, after a brief illness. Born in Providence, RI, and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Mahoney) McManus.
Helen was the beloved mother of Mike Tufts of Nahant, MA, Rose Carpenter of San Diego, CA, and Kyle Duty of San Clemente, CA. She was also the caring grandmother of Degelis and Elyse Tufts, Dusty Carpenter and Kai and Makena Duty; and the loving sister of Pam Casey, Carol Eaton and Joe McManus, as well as the aunt of several nieces and nephews. Helen had an independent spirit, quick wit, and good sense of humor. She will be missed by all.
