According to the contributor who created this memorial, " Cemetery Inscriptions of Fulton Co IL," Vol 8, shows this grave is for Mrs. Stobaugh who was buried 12 Apr 1901 in Section OG. There is no stone. We believe Mrs. Stobaugh = the wife of John Stobaugh, who is also buried in Section OG. John's wife was Sarah Sprinkle. We know Sarah died between the time the 1900 and 1910 censuses were taken.

Sarah was the daughter of Elijah Sprinkle & Martha "Patsy" Stobaugh.

She married John Randolph Stobaugh on 12 Aug 1859 in Fulton Co., IL.

The 1900 census shows that Sarah had given birth to 9 children, 3 of whom were living. Those three are: James M., Matilda H. (Clary), and John A. The family is enumerated on the 1875 Kansas State Census in Mitchell Co., KS. Their entry shows their names only as initials. However, this census adds one more child: a son, "W.," who was born about 1874. He was deceased before the 1880 census.

Sarah & John also had an adopted son, Lee Stobaugh. His biological parents were John W. Tharp & Missouri Ford.
