Johnnie Hilliard, 92, of Flower Mound, a life-long resident of Denton County, passed away Monday, May 21, 2007, at her home.
She was born January 4, 1915 in Denton County to Luther C. Bays and Lula Lawler Bays. Johnnie married Ernest F. Hilliard on April 29, 1933 in Marietta, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2003. She was an associate member of First Baptist Church of Flower Mound and worked as a cosmetologist.
She is survived by her daughter, J.R. Martin of Lewisville; son, Ron Hilliard of Flower Mound; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and her sisters, Dorsey Schnekloth of Seattle Washington and Blanche Baggett of Lewisville.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Hilliard by a great-great granddaughter, Sydney Paige Ballard, by two brothers, one sister, by her son-in-law, brother-in-laws, sister-in-law and many of her loved ones.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007, at First Baptist Church of Flower Mound. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Flower Mound. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. The family request memorial contributions be made to Bluebonnet Hospice Care, 808 Utility Road, Sanger, Texas 76266
