NOTE: Washington State death records found on FamilySearch.org gave a maiden name of both Gurine Walde (Pearl Aarrstad's death in 1919) and Gerina Malde (George Arestad's death in 1955)
NOTE: Year of birth on the death certificate was 1876, but the headstone and 3 census records had 1877.
NOTE: Gurine Arestad's (note spelling) death certificate on FamilySearch.org named her father as ------ Malde and her mother as ----- Hager. Informant was "Records-King Co. Hospital, Seattle, Wash." where she died.

From the Bellingham Herald of 18 May 1944:
Gurine Arestad, 66, a resident of route 2, Ferndale, for the past 32 years, died Wed at a Seattle hospital. She was a member of the Lutheran Brethren church of Ferndale.
Surviving are 6 sons, Trigyve of Portland; Gabriel of Seaside, Ore; Sverre of Seattle; George of Cordova, Alaska; and Norris and Lief, at home; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ruth Aandahl of Farribault, Minn; and Mrs. Gladys Wheeler, of Spokane; 3 brothers, Gabriel, Sam and Even Malde of Plankington, South Dakota, and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral announcements will be made by the Monroe funeral home at Ferndale.
