Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryn Darnell Lloyd will be at 2 p.m. today at Second Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Kenneth Ross officiating. Interment will be at East View Cemetery.
Mrs. Lloyd, 55 , of 7 Saddie Trail died Friday afternoon at a Rome hospital after a short illness.
A native of Floyd County, she was born Nov. 9, 1938, daughter of the late Herbert Miles Darnell and Inez Vick Darnell.
She was a member of Second Avenue Baptist Church, where she was active in the Women's Missionary Union. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and had been a member of the Highland Baptist Church, Hickory, N.C., where she and her husband lived for six years before returning to Rome in 1991.
Survivors include her husband, M.B. Lloyd to whom she was married July 5, 1956, a daughter,, Sherri Spagnoli, Rock Hill, S.C., two sons, Matt Lloyd and Steven Lloyd, both of Rome;two sisters, Gwendolyn Minges, New Orleans, La., and Jackie Washington, Cumming;a brother, Joe Darnell, Cave Spring;four grandchildren.
